Ms. Khadija Karama is a seasoned development consultant with over 15 years of experience in care reform, child protection and organizational leadership. She has supported governments, NGOs and community organizations to design and implement sustainable, family-centered care systems, while leading initiatives that shape policy and strengthen capacity for community-based solutions.

Her leadership combines collaboration and practical expertise to deliver inclusive, evidence-informed impact. Committed to child rights, equity and social justice, Khadija is recognized for driving change and building partnerships that ensure children grow up in safe, nurturing environments where they can thrive.

Mr. Jaffar Katana

Strategic Advisor & Development Consultant

Mr. Jaffar Katana is a development strategist and consultant with over 20 years of experience advancing sustainable social and economic change across Kenya. He specializes in research and development, organizational strengthening, strategic planning and resource mobilization for NGOs, CBOs and national institutions. As the founding Principal Consultant of HaJa Nexus, he has supported organizations through capacity building, fundraising, and leadership training.

His career includes senior roles across major development initiatives, with expertise in child welfare, climate action and program design. Jaffar is recognized for his ability to connect grassroots communities with high-level partners, delivering practical, scalable solutions that drive long-term impact.

Ms. Fidelis Muthoni

Social Development Professional

Ms. Fidelis Muthoni is a social development leader with over 17 years of experience in child protection, youth empowerment, early childhood development and disability-inclusive programming. She has led transformative initiatives in Kenya and internationally, strengthening systems to improve the well-being of vulnerable children and families.

She has played a key role in shaping child protection and care reform efforts, contributing to policies, tools and programs that promote positive parenting, reduce violence and support family-based care. With expertise in program design and technical advisory, Fidelis is committed to building inclusive, child-centered systems where every child can grow up in a safe and nurturing environment.

Mr. Moses Abwao

Social Impact Consultant

Mr. Moses Abwao is a Social Impact Consultant with over a decade of experience in child protection, care reform, community development and economic empowerment. He focuses on designing scalable, practical programs that strengthen families, protect vulnerable children and promote sustainable community development.

He has worked with humanitarian and development organizations across Kenya to strengthen child protection systems and support the transition from institutional care to family-based care. With expertise in program design, MEAL, stakeholder engagement and capacity building, Moses is committed to empowering communities and ensuring every child grows up in a safe, supportive environment.

Mr. Obed Makori

Development Practitioner & Consultant

Mr. Obed Makori is a development practitioner and consultant with over a decade of experience in research, monitoring and evaluation (MEAL), program management and child protection systems strengthening. His work focuses on family strengthening, alternative care reform and evidence-based approaches that improve outcomes for vulnerable children and families.

As Director of Research and Innovation at Victory Child Empowerment, he leads the development of research and learning systems that support family-based care and strengthen child protection structures. Obed has also worked with organizations such as the International Solidarity Foundation, European Union projects, Child’s i Foundation and Miracle Foundation, contributing to strategy development, capacity building and sustainable impact.

Ms. Munira Ali

Psychologist & psychosocial Support Specialist

Ms. Munira Ali is a psychologist and psychosocial support specialist with experience in community mental health, trauma counselling and working with vulnerable populations. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Clinical Child Neuropsychology from Kenyatta University.

She has provided trauma-focused counselling to survivors of gender-based violence and offers psychological support through individual and group therapy. With experience in leadership and program coordination, she is committed to strengthening psychosocial support systems and promoting community well-being through evidence-based approaches.
